Quality Technician - Weld Inspector

Job Title: Quality Technician – Weld Inspection Experience
Location: Stratford, ON
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $26.00–$28.00 per hour
Expected Hours: 40 hours per week


Job Summary

Join AWC Manufacturing as a Quality Technician with Weld Inspection Experience and become an essential member of our team dedicated to delivering excellence. In this role, you'll apply your skills in manufacturing, quality control, and inspection to ensure that every product meets our rigorous standards. Your ability to interpret blueprints, operate precision measuring tools, and lead quality initiatives will help us maintain our reputation for superior quality and reliability.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform dimensional and weld inspections on fabricated components
  • Operate portable CMM equipment (FARO preferred) and generate detailed reports
  • Complete quality documentation such as PPAPs and MTRs
  • Support troubleshooting efforts with team members during production
  • Conduct both in-house and source inspections on critical projects
  • Assist in maintaining ISO 9001 certification through audits and documentation
  • Create non-conformance reports and contribute to monthly quality summaries
  • Assist in implementing corrective actions and closing defect notices

Qualifications

  • Experience operating portable CMM equipment (FARO preferred)
  • CWB, AWS, or ASME Level 1 Inspector Certification is an asset
  • Completion of quality-related courses or certificates is required
  • Strong understanding of statistical processes
  • Proficient in blueprint reading
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Compensation & Benefits

Pay: $26.00–$28.00/hour

Relocation & Commuting

Applicants must be able to reliably commute to or plan to relocate to Stratford, ON before starting the position.


Experience (Preferred)

  • Portable CMM equipment: 1 year
  • PPAP documentation: 2 years
  • MTR reporting: 2 years
